Inside every Figure of Limited Predictability—every FOLP—there is a hidden world waiting to be found. When a measured sequence of pigments is released into the air, the paint moves with a blend of intention and surrender. Gravity, momentum, viscosity, and chance all shape the moment of impact.
As the paint settles, spreads, and dries, micro-landscapes form: ridges, valleys, fractures, and pools of color invisible at first glance. After the surface cures, I examine extremely small regions of the work—often areas measuring approximately one inch by one inch or smaller.
Within these micro-zones, figures begin to reveal themselves—animals, spirits, faces, gestures, and environments embedded inside the dried paint.
These images are not inventions; they are discoveries. They exist within the work long before I find them. When a form fully presents itself, I extract it, enlarge it, and bring it into the world as an archival watercolor edition.
These revealed forms are what I call Gifts From the Art Gods—small pieces of a larger universe that arrives through the FOLP itself.
