Every painting is a singular original. Beneath the transparent linen, five human figures gather around a table of abundance. Above them, five F.O.L.P.s (Figures of Limited Predictability) emerge on the linen surface in five separate, unrepeatable events. Each F.O.L.P. becomes an extension of the concealed figure beneath it.

BENEATH THE SURFACE
The Wailea series explores the relationship between a concealed painted environment beneath transparent linen and the spontaneous acrylic forms released onto its surface. As viewers spend time with each painting, the hidden environment gradually reveals itself, making discovery an essential part of the experience. What is first seen is only part of the painting; what is gradually discovered becomes equally important.
