The orientation of the word phrases are supposed to create a somersaulting effect showing continuous motion. The blue circular figure in each painting is oriented to rise and set, rise and set showing progression. The word phrases are also supposed to set a thought into progressive motion.
Each individual painting is constructed with a slant on all four interior sides. Please note the pink on the edge of the linen. This not only creates a distorted look but also contributes to the somersaulting movement.
